REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDYING IN JAPAN FOR THE TRAINING PROGRAM
1. High school program
Requirements for studying in Japan at the high school level
Can international students who have not yet passed N5 study in Japan?
The answer is yes. To study in Japan at the high school level, candidates do not have to take an entrance exam. However, international students have not reached the required level, they need to study Japanese for at least 4 – 6 months or more. And when coming to Japan, they must continue to learn Japanese until they meet the entry requirements.
For those who want to go to Japan to learn the language or want to study in Japan at college or university level. If you do not meet the entrance requirements, you must study Japanese for 1 year at Japanese language schools in Japan. Because most universities in Japan require a foreign language level of N3 or higher.
Entrance requirements of Japanese language schools:
- Graduated high school.
- Age from 18 – 30.
- High school average score of 6.0 or higher (some schools have 5.0).
Requirements for studying at ASEAN universities mentioned here include colleges, universities, and graduate schools. To study in Japan at the university level, candidates need to meet the entry requirements of Japanese language proficiency of N3 or higher. You must study for 1 year in Japan and need to meet the following entry requirements:
Educational qualifications
- Have graduated from high school in no more than 4 years.
- For those who have graduated from intermediate school, college, or university, the time limit can be up to 6 years.
- Age from 18 – 30, the lower your age, the easier it is for your application to be approved.
- High school GPA of 6.0 or higher and no weak points in any subjects.
- Those with a GPA of 5.0 can still study abroad, but only at small schools.
Requirements for Japanese language certificate
Must study elementary Japanese for 4-6 months in Vietnam to reach level N5 or higher. If your Japanese level has reached N5, you can apply for the program.
Study Japanese language preparation for 1 year in Japan to be able to achieve N3 or higher. For those who have met the entrance requirements of the school they have registered for, you can skip this stage.
Financial requirements
For those who study in Japan on their own, you need to prove your financial conditions. You need to ensure you have enough finances to pay for studying and living in Japan for at least 1 year.
To study in Japan, you also need to have a financial guarantor with a stable income of 25 million/month, which can be your parents. And you need to have a savings or bank deposit of at least 500 million VND 6 months before the application deadline.
